New Beginnings

Morning all and welcome to our next, although slightly shorter than normal challenge. I had the fabulous Jules creations to work with this time.
The brief this time was  to
"Create a card or LO using the following recipe: gold, silver/gray, black// something glittery//embellishment: ribbon and incorporate some kind of distressing"

I took Jules' Flamenco dancer and printed her out a couple of times. The spare printout I had, I used to cut out the layers of her dress on the glittery black card and given it some dimension with the help of some silicone. After I'd coloured the rest of her in with my copics I mounted her onto a circle of silver mirri board which I distressed with a black ink pad. The background that she is mounted onto is some gold tissue paper that I think I rescued from a Christmas present from 2008, which I scrunched up and then wiped a black ink pad over the top of it. I then reflattened it with the help of my heat gun and my bone folder and then stuck it to my card blank. I added a bit of black and gold sticky ribbon from my stash along with a silver bottle from some confetti and then wrote Happy New Year with my glue pen and sprinkled with gold glitter and drew around with a black pen when it was dry as it didn't show up enough.

Also from the stable of Jules is this little beauty which I believe is one of the stamps up for grabs as a prize.

Right this is a little late but here is what you could win

and by the way that's going to be one of my NEW Years Resolutions...be more organised, another is to be more active and the last one is to lose weight so they all go hand in hand really. If I'm more organised I can find time to do my crafting, the housework, walk the dogs (2 lots of exercise there) and then hopefully coz I won't be bored, I won't get the munchies and coz I'm doing some exercise, I'll hopefully lose weight. Of course I'll keep you all updated on how I'm doing in all three.
Don't forget to check out all the other fabby girls on the DT blogs. You'll find their links on the sidebar.

Okay then you lovely lot, remember there is only ONE week to enter the challenge this time around as we are going to be introducing some new faces around here and we need to get them settled in and up to speed. So no dilly dallying this time around - get those entries in for us all to drool over.
If I'm not back again before the end of the year - I wish each and every one of you lovely people out there a very
Happy New Year!
