Challenge # 2 at OSAAT

Oh my word what a roller coaster of a first two weeks it has been over at OSAAT. It was more popular than any of us imagined for our first ever challenge. We had more than 100 entries and every one was fab I have to say. I have never been to so many blogs in my life!!! Anyway you can find all the winners and details on how to claim your prizes if you were one of the lucky ladies on the challenge blog.
For our second challenge we are being sponsored by - now hold your horses ladies - Karen of Karens Doodles and you can win 3 of her fab digi stamps this week. We have a sketch challenge this week and if you use one of Karens digis you will be entered into the draw twice. This challenge is now only a week long as we are now going to a weekly challenge instead of the fortnightly one. This challenge will end at midnight on the 6th / 7th March so we have enough time to pick our fav and announce it and be ready for the next challenge at midday on the 7th but that is a whole week away, so more about this challenge.
Here is your sketch and you can twist it, turn it, do what you like with it as long as we can see the basis of the sketch and it doesn't have to be a card - it can be an ATC, 4 x 4, a scrapbook layout anything you can think of  with this sketch.

Now remember if you use one of Karens digis, you will go in the draw at the end of the week twice. Here is what I made with her lovely Easter bunny. Please pop round to see the rest of our DT and check out their fab makes too.

Take care and I'm looking forward to coming around again to see all of your fab creations this week.

Froggie ATC

Afternoon all. I thought I'd share this little ATC that I made the other day. It was for my DT piece for Digital-Ink but as they are no more I thought I'd put it on my blog and share it with you all now.

The image is by Jules of Daisy Doodles and I think he's called "Ribbit" but don't quote me on that as I am terrible for the names of things even if I have just seen them.
I used some card that my former boss let me have from work (cut offs that would have gone in the bin) and cut it to ATC size (2.5 inches x 3.5 inches) and got my whispers ink pads and just squished them all over my piece of card. To my amazement the ink didn't dry straight away on this card, so I got my clear embossing powder and sprinkled it over my piece of card and got the old heat gun out. This of course gave it a lovely shiny finish. I then took my image that I had coloured in 4 times and cut out certain bits and decoupaged it with silcone glue. Shock horror I didn't use my copics - I'm into my regular pencils and watercolor pencils again at the mo. Then to finish it off I used some peel offs that I have had lying around like for YEARS!!!!
I hope you like my litle froggie - I do so he'll most probably be staying with me (like most of my ATCs actually heheheehe).
Take care

A couple of Mothers Day cards and another couple too....

Arghhh! I just don't seem to have enough time at the moment. Two of these images on the cards have been coloured up for the last few weeks, but I just haven't had enough time to acually finish them off. No challenges attached to any of these cards as I haven't got the time to look for any at the mo. Anyway the two Mothers day cards are from a freebie pack in a mag I bought the other day but I didn't use the cards that they supplied with them as I couldn't get it to look anything different to what they had done in the mag. What's the point in doing the same thing?!
The "One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, Floor!" image is from Bugaboo if I remember rightly which I got as part of the 50/50 club and I just made a simple step card with it.
The "Sassy Girl" as I've called it, is an image from my good buddy Stitch and I can't remember for the life of me her proper name and I made a boingy card for this image as it's quite small. I really should have dug out the instructions for it and made my life easier but instead I made it up as I went along.....never again!!
Anyway here are the piccies of my creations - hope you like them.

Take care

Digital-Ink Co challenge #17 - Peace

Hello to everyone out there. It's been mad here lately hence me not posting anything for a while. My good computer is basically dead (well it's not, but I don't want to use it in case I end up losing everything on it - all my digis noooooo!!!!). Just as well I kept this old laptop of mine - only problem is, it is soooooo slow and it takes me forever to do anything online including blogging. So I've been spending all my time commenting on you fabulously talented peoples blogs that have entered our challenge and getting just about zero crafting done. Not good as you can imagine.
Anyway enough moaning and groaning, lets do some yipping and yayying. Today is the day for the launch of the new challenge at Digital-Ink Co. For this challenge we'd like to see anything that means peace to you. For this challenge I used a stamp from Lil Diva Stamps AKA Donna which you can purchase HERE from the Digital-Ink co store.
Right I made a first for me  - one of these CD dangly gizmos which you can hang on babys room door for when they are sleeping. Mine used to sleep an awful lot and it was so peaceful - oh so long ago now..my eldest is going to be 17 in June, mymiddle one 15 in March (crumbs better get a card done!) and my youngest will be 10 in September - where does the time go? Answers on a postcard to.....hehehehe.
I've used some paper that I've had in my stash like 4 years and stuck this on both sides of my CD. I made a hole in the top with my lovely Crop-o-dile (I want the other one too - what is it the Big Bite?) and put some purple ribbon through the hole and stuck a little bow onto the said ribbon which I made with my Glitter Girls Bow maker. After coloring in my image with Copics and some Sakura gel pens, I cut it out and then glazed the leaves with Anitas 3D clear gloss. When it dried, this made the leaves curl round a little, which I really liked. I attached this image with some foam pads to give it a bit of a lift. Lastly I coloured some silver peel off letters with my Dovecraft peel off markers and stuck them on sloping downwards. Hope you like it.

Next I suppose you would like to know what you could be winning this fortnight....well wait no more!

Oh and by the by, we have a stamp lottery going on this week too. Check it out.

Hope to see you fab creations real soon. Take care everyone and happy crafting.

Launch Day at OSAAT - whooo hoooo!!!!

Wow it's finally arrived - the long awaited first challenge at One Stitch At A Time challenge OSAAT for short. For those of you that don't know this is a joint challenge blog between Stitch and myself with some of the fabbest crafters out there as our super talented DT (including me as the weak link hehehe).
Anyway onto the challenge deets and it's a nice simple one (that's how we like it here - our brains can't cope with much else...well me and stitch anyway hehe). As it is our first one we would like to see some form of stitching on your project. This can be faux stitching, done by hand or machine, cross stitch, knitting, crochet - you get the idea! And if you use one of Stitchys digi images, you get to go in the draw TWICE. This challenge lasts for 2 weeks and the winner will be announced on the 28th February along with our new challenge.
Now onto the prizes and I say prizes as some of us on the DT have managed to get some bits together to send to our first overall winner as well as the regular prize of 3 of stitchys digis of the winners choice and a Guest DT spot. There are also top 3 badges to the next 3 people drawn out of the hat so to speak.

Okay onto my little card for this first challenge - I've used Rub a dub dub for this card...I think it's perfect for a little ones birthday card.

I've added some of Anitas 3-D clear gloss finish to the bubbles and for my stitching I've sewn around the outside of the backing paper and I've also used some stitched paper that I had in my stash.
I hope you will join in with our little challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing your fab creations.
Take care everyone

WOYWW #3

I'm back again after missing last week as I was feeling too good. As you can see I'm well and truly back on form hehehehe. I've made such a mess as I've just finished my DT card for our new challenge at OSAAT and I've got loads of bits that I've coloured ready to make into cards and stuff just lying around.
Anyway enjoy rooting around my mess and I'm gonna try and get around to a few of the other more organised ladies out there to see if I can figure out how they do it.

Take care peeps

My candy for OSAAT

Finally remembered to take a piccy of the candy I've managed to get together for our first overall winner at OSAAT (One Stitch at a Time challenge blog). So here is what could be in the post to you from me, if you join in with our first challenge which goes live this Sunday and will run for TWO weeks.

Hope you'll join us then.

A card and Big WHOOOOPPEEEEEE!!!

Yayyyyyy!! I finally hit 100 followers. Thanks to all of you that are following little old me - you've made me super duper happy!
On to my card. It's a regular card but the image is something I might not normally do. She is a new digi that I picked up as part of the Special 50/50 by my buddy Janette from Stamping Dragon Designs. The paper is also relatively new to me as I got it as part of my Secret Santa pressie from one of the forums I'm a member of. I thought the vintage style paper was just right for her so coloured her accordingly with my copics.

Talking of my copics, I've very nearly ran out two of my browns so if you see blue and pink teddy bears from now on that'll be why. I have no idea whether I can refill them or whether I have to buy new pens, so if anyone can enlighten me, I would be eternally grateful.
As she is a new image I'm entering this card into the "NEW" challenge at ABC.
Thanks for stopping by and making me such a happy bunny.

Another card for today

and three challenges to boot as well. I've had this little beastie all coloured up since last week, but alas no time to do him (or real inclination either as I was feeling under the weather at the start of last week) but hey I got the time and three challenges perfect too now, so all things happen for a reason -PROOF! heheehee
Okay this card is going into these challenges
Lexi's Creations Spots and/or Stripes
Kaboodle Doodles Spots and/or Stripes and also
Rosie Dee's Just for him.

The image is "Dino" from my buddy Stitchy of course.
Oh dear my peace and quiet for the day is nearly over - nearly time to pick my daughter up from school....boo hoo. Better get these entered quick before I run out of time, so I best stop yapping and get on.
Take care everyone

Challenge no. 16 at Digital-Ink Co - St Valentines

Howdy doody everyone and welcome to our new challenge at Digital-Ink Co. This fortnight we have a lovey dovey challenge for you with St Valentines being this coming Sunday. It is, of course to make something (card, tag, layout etc) with the theme of St.Valentines day in mind.
Here is my bit of inspiration for you all this week. I was paired with CJ from Stampen' with CJ and I chose this cute little number...hope you like it and you can buy this and many more HERE.

Okay here is what you are in line for winning this fortnight and as a little added incentive, if you manage to get the word wish in there somewhere (I wish you were mine etc, etc) you get to go in the draw TWICE!!

Looking forward to seeing your creations again this fortnight as we had some awesome entries for our last challenge.
Take care and I'll be seeing you soon.

New card whoo hooo!!!!

Curse my hubby having last week off - I hardly got anything crafty done but I did finally get this one finished last night. No challenges in mind as hubby nicked the computer off me most of the week so I'm a bit like a fish out of water at the moment and I've got no idea what is going on in challenge blog land so if anyone thinks of anything that this can go in to - just shout at me and I'll love you forever!!!
Anyway onto my card. I've used a digi image from my buddy Stitch called China Doll. It was one of her last ones from 2009 and she is just getting back into the swing of things now as she managed to get herself the shingles and it affected her eye so she's been in a lot of pain lately and not been able to do what she loves the most, (or the housework by all accounts!!!) making digis for everyone to use on their projects! I had loads of fun making this one as I got the glitter out as well - one red sparkly dog coming up (and the cats too) and the old trusty Sakura Glaze pen. I had forgotten I'd got it actually but I'm sure I'll be needing a new one again soon now that I've rediscovered it as I'm using it loads again.

Hope you like it anyway - oh and guess what....it's snowing again!
Take care everyone and watch out later for Digital-Ink Co's new challenge.
Okay thanks to Susan for letting me know about these two (looked for the others but couldn't find them - think my eyes have stopped working properly hehee), so here goes.
I'm entering this into Incy Wincy Designs Pink/Red and black
and
Aly's Sunday challenge and it is uncanny how similar her sketch is (twist it a bit) to my card with out me even seeing it before.
Thanks Susan - you're a star hun!!

I've made a card with my pack as some inspiration for you guys but there's nothing saying you can't do a scrapbook layout with it.
Anyway here's my card and I really liked this sketch and the pack as a whole this month. It was a dream to work with and I think you may see some of the papers in some of my upcoming creations and maybe even the silhouette too!

Pack preview
and here's your sketch.

I'd love to see your creations this month so please join in the fun.
