Janette from Stamping Dragon Designs gave all on her DT this lovely little dragon holding the American flag called "Independence Day". Now me being me and being very English and therefore not very American, had to put a twist on it didn't I.
It's not apparent from the outside what the twist is, only the inside text gives it away......
Yep I made it into a "congratulations on your divorce" card. I'm really chuffed with myself for thinking of that as my brain has been in melt down lately and on strike. Making cards was a chore! Feeling a lot more relaxed in the last few days. Now I just have to catch up with stuff.
I coloured this image with pencils as sometimes I don't think I can pull it off with the promarkers (need the brights lol )and I think it turned out ok.
Anyway, I have loads more images coloured, so I'm hoping to get those made today but knowing my luck I'll get distracted or have to do something else like the dreaded housework.
Take care

New releases over at Stitchy Bear
Good morning one and all. I'm not actually here this morning, I'm at a car boot sale at my local school so I'm actually doing this on Saturday morning - but anyway I digress (nothing unusual there I hear you all cry). Anyway the girls at Stitchy Bear Stamps have all made some fantabulous new releases for us all to play with which are now available. I had my good buddy Janette of Stamping Dragon Designs and her new release is called "Purrfect Love".
It screamed out to me a cat lovers wedding day - not much good if they don't both like cats really hehehe, but this is what I made.
I coloured the image with my promarkers and added a touch of one of my sakura pens on the moon to make it just a little shimmery and on the love heart I added glitter and the put Anitas 3D Gloss over the top. Paper is from a DCWV wedding stack if I remember rightly and the sentiment stamp is from the Docrafts Forever Friends Wedding set.
Might be be back with an update on how the car boot went - if hubby lets me have the lappy that is!
Take care

Baby Ellie
I love it when a plan comes together and it has for this card. I have 2 challenges to enter it into and as I haven't got round to doing any lately so I'm chuffed to bits. It also goes towards my make as a DT member for Stamping Dragon and the digi and paper itself has been printed out for best part of a week (possibly nearer two weeks to be honest) and finally, my MIL asked me to make a card to welcome the newest member of the May family to this world.
So without further ado, here is my card.
I've taken the sketch from Sketch Saturday and moved the big circle over to the side a little so I could get the new babies name, date of birth and weight in on the front of the card as well. So I'm entering this there and I'm also entering it into Lexis challenge which is "Animals". For the inside, I've nicked an idea from my good buddy Clare AKA Threadbare and put another little ellie on the inside. It finishes it off I think.
If you like this stamp and paper pack (the paper I've used comes with it if you want) you can purchase it from Stitchy Bear Stamps who are having a huge HALF PRICE sale for the whole of this month. Also over on our group page at SNR - http://snrcardiverse.ning.com/group/stitchybearstamps we have our sister challenge to OSAAT running which is to do a card for Mothers Day -
"Since Mother's Day is next weekend, I thought that a project for mom/mum would make for a good challenge. Stitchy has so kindly given me her breakfast with mom stamp to let you all use. Now you must email me at tmt0221@aol.com with challenge is the subject line for the image. Only get the image if you plan to do the challenge please. Make any project you like using the stamp and post it here. The challenge will run until next Friday, May 7th at 9 pm. The winner will be chosen right after that and will win a free stamp of their choice from Stitchy. I can't wait to see what you all create" Wow a free stamp to use - even I didn't know about that one...I might have to do it just for the stamp lol hehehee. Tammy would love to see some of you guys join in with the fun over there as would the rest of the guys involved with OSAAT.
Okay, I'm off to find some pain killers now as I'm starting to get the headache from hell.
Have a lovely day peeps.

Two new cards yahooo!!
I feel more like my normal self now having just made two cards. One is going to my little blujay store and the other slightly cheeky one is for my mums birthday.
Both the papers and the image are by Stamping Dragon Designs who I do DT work for. I thought I ought to do something for her as I haven't been able to do anything lately with getting the challenge blog off the ground. So here you go hun - two for the price of one hehehe.
The sentiment on my mums card, I typed up in Open Office and then printed off along with some other bits so I didn't waste a whole sheet.
Got another three cards that I have to make for imminent birthdays still so I'd better get on.
Take care

A card and Big WHOOOOPPEEEEEE!!!
Yayyyyyy!! I finally hit 100 followers. Thanks to all of you that are following little old me - you've made me super duper happy!
On to my card. It's a regular card but the image is something I might not normally do. She is a new digi that I picked up as part of the Special 50/50 by my buddy Janette from Stamping Dragon Designs. The paper is also relatively new to me as I got it as part of my Secret Santa pressie from one of the forums I'm a member of. I thought the vintage style paper was just right for her so coloured her accordingly with my copics.
Talking of my copics, I've very nearly ran out two of my browns so if you see blue and pink teddy bears from now on that'll be why. I have no idea whether I can refill them or whether I have to buy new pens, so if anyone can enlighten me, I would be eternally grateful.
As she is a new image I'm entering this card into the "NEW" challenge at ABC.
Thanks for stopping by and making me such a happy bunny.

Stamping Dragon New Monthly challenge
Afternoon everyone. Just a quick one about the fab monthly challenge over at Stamping Dragon Designs. You get some fabby papers and a silhouette digi to work with for this months sketch challenge. I've made a card with my pack as some inspiration for you guys but there's nothing saying you can't do a scrapbook layout with it.
Anyway here's my card and I really liked this sketch and the pack as a whole this month. It was a dream to work with and I think you may see some of the papers in some of my upcoming creations and maybe even the silhouette too!

Last one for today
And I'm going to make this really quick as I've still to make sandwiches for hubby and my daughter yet! Anyway I've got my last coffee for the night so I'm good for a few while I listen to the footie. Well my hubby came home and said the famous words, "I need a birthday card for tomorrow." So guess who had to make a rather quick card tonight in between and after dinner, yep that's right - me ...... such a hard life being told I have to make a card.
Well I thought I may as well make it count so I got the sketch right for Friday Sketchers this time and the stamp is another one from Stamping Dragon Designs.
Oh just remembered, it also goes in for the challenge at Lots to Do which has a challenge of Travel/Transport this week.
Hope you like it.

Penny as Rupert the dragons love interest. You can get this stamp from Dragons Lair Designs online store. Don't forget to check out her blog here and say hello. I'm also entering it into this weeks sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.
I do hope that these two hit it off as I think they are such a cute couple. Let me know what you think.
Okay off to enter this in the challenge at Mojo Monday, have dinner and then make a quick card for my hubbys work mates birthday...which happens to be tomorrow. If he dares say I'm ignoring him tonight I may just throttle him hehehehee.
Take care.

Cupcake challenge - Take Two!!
And here is my second one for this challenge - well I couldn't resist. This stamp is "Baby Giraffe" by Stamping Dragon Designs and again it's going into the "Baby" challenge at Cupcake challenges. This is also my latest DT piece for SDD so I hope she likes it. Again, I've used the baby bingo card by Lindsays Stamp Stuff (I hope I got that right again) to just give it a little something.
Right, that's me done for tonight. I hope to be back with a few more bits tomorrow.
Take care out there

Cute Card Thursday sketch challenge
and my first proper DT project for Stamping Dragon Designs. I've used "Rupert in Window" as my image and he has been coloured with copics. I've then done a bit of paper piecing for the curtains and put some mottled paper behind as the wallpaper. I've then cut out the window frame from another print out and layered it over the top with the help of some sticky pads. I made my own sentiment on the computer, matted that onto some silver mirri card and stuck that on with some more sticky pads and added some little roses.
Okay then here is the sketch....
and here is my take on it.
Whoo hoo well that's 4 of 4 challenges that I wanted to do. Need to find some more now hahahaaha.
Oh well 'til tomorrow I should think.....Good night from me everyone!
Sam x
Oooops I just realised I forgot to put the link on to Cute Card Thursday so click on their name to take you straight there. I'll forget my head one of these days heheehehe

Here's the one that was drying out!
This is what I finally come up with for this months challenge over at Stamping Dragon Designs. I admit I would never have put this combination of colours together...EVER, but I think it's turned out okay. So why don't you go over and claim your free challenge pack and let rip - you know you want to!

Celebrations challenge at Charisma
Afternoon all, just finished this card which is for my Mother-in-laws birthday on Monday and as it is a celebration it's also going into the challenge at Charisma Cardz.
The image I've used is Vintage Sewing Machine by M & M Designz and the background paper is from the free pack from Stamping Dragon Designs.
I chose the sewing machine image as my MIL is brilliant with a sewing machine so I'm hoping she's going to like it.
Should have another card for you later but I'm still waiting for it to dry...well a certain element anyway.
Take care
