Well, I was experimenting with this. It looks really good if you squint, but I'm not happy with it in all honesty.
1, I can see one of my sewing stitches at the bottom and 2, it looks a bit squiffy. Thinking that maybe I should do it as a base in white and then 2 red strips sewn over the top.
What do you think?
I'll let you mull that over for a while, when you've thought about it, maybe you could let me know :-)

For babies and grownups too....

No I haven't made the same item for each, although I have thought about it, but the thought of the amount of yarn I'd need sort of steered me away from it.
I have been a busy bunny once again, I just can't put these crochet hooks down for more than a sleep! I've seen so much baby stuff around (and so many babies and bumps) I thought, "I'd better jump on this train and see where it takes me", and I got an email from one of the free crochet pattern sites the same day (fate eh) and there was this gorgeous little baby cocoon (I call them cuddle cozies) so I of course headed off in that direction and started the pattern. Then I got stuck, something wasn't quite right, or I'm not reading it right, so I took the basics of working in the round and their tension gauge and came up with this....

I've also now made another in a pinkish colourway, but that has come up a lot smaller so there's a good chance it's going to be donated to PreemiesUK once I've made up some more bits.

My second item - the one for the grownups - is this supersoft and fluffy scarf. If this doesn't chase away any winter blues this year, then nothing will. It's guaranteed not to come undone as long as you've threaded it through the special slit that is in it. So none of that wind will get down your neck and give you the chills.

Hope you like my little bits that I'm sharing with you today - and if anyone else is having trouble posting comments, I'd like to hear about it please. My friend contacted me saying it was very slow and was having problems, I've checked all my settings but they all seem fine :( so I'm a little lost as to why she's having probs, but if anyone else is having troubles too then I'll delve into it a little deeper if I can.

Sorry for the absence

I've been a little pre-occupied with making stuff the last couple of weeks and keep forgetting to put pics up. I've also been re-vamping my website Yammas Cards and Crafts so I've not just been sitting on my hands...although I could do with doing that right now as they are a little cold.
I have so much to share with you, starting with the cards that I was making for the card order. I'm very pleased to say that the customer was very pleased with them and Royal Mail got them to her the very next day - baring in mind I didn't post them until the late afternoon, I was very impressed.

Next I have a couple of smart fone covers/cosies that are available from my website Yammas Cards and Crafts and both my Folksy ( http://www.folksy.com/shops/YammasCrafts ) and Etsy ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/YammasCrafts ) stores.

Not sure if I shared these with you or not. These are my Fimo double leaf danglers - earrings to be more precise.

I enjoyed making these and while I was at it I made this little chap too.

Ooooo don't think I showed this beast to you. This is a new crochet stitch I've learnt recently called crocodile stitch or dragon scale stitch. I loved it so much I jumped in and made a handbag/shoulder bag complete with lining, so the sewing machine is happy once again.

I'm very proud of this beasty.
Oh well, that's all I can remember for the moment, but I'll be back soon with some new pieces as I'm working on hundreds - well what seems like hundreds anyway - of new items.

WOYWW 113

And I'm back again! I didn't get my table tidied up in the end last week so it's even more of a mess today. I have 2 cards for an order (yes an order whoopee!!) that will be going out of the door on Friday when the young lady pays me. I've just got to finish off the inserts today and they are done. Basically there's all sorts of stuff on my table from the ACEO I made yesterday, you'll see my glue gun in the bottom corner as I used that yesterday to give my daughters broken watch a new lease of life (previous post if you want to see). I've also given you a couple of shots of all my rubbish on the set of shelves in front of me on the table. The rest of my stuff is hiding behind me - might give you a piccy of that next week.

In case you are wondering what I am rambling on about, it's this little cult blogging experience known as WOYWW (Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday) and it's hosted by the ever chatty Julia of The Stamping Ground, so if you enjoyed snooping around my mess, there's an awful lot more of them over there ... although some of them are a lot tidier than mine.

A couple of bits to show you quickly tonight

And tomorrow I'll have a couple of cards to show you too, but on with the bits I have for you tonight.
Well today I dug out my hot glue gun as I felt it needed a little bit of loving - I haven't used it since I left Jem Packaging a couple of years ago! Now I hear you say, what on earth did you need to use that for, they're evil and burn you at the earliest possibility. This normally is very true, but she was on her best behaviour today, maybe because I let her out of her box and gave her a new glue stick...who knows, but I didn't get burnt or get glue all over myself. Anyway I digress, the reason I got her out was to customise my daughters watch and give it a new lease of life. The strap had broken on it so she couldn't use it unless she was wearing something with pockets so I had a thought, "I'll turn it into a nurses fob watch!" So I dug out so pink ribbon and a brooch back and wrapped and stuck it all together. Then I glued some fabric flowers on it and a rescued gem (from an old item of clothing) and I ended up with this....

I'm very pleased with it and so is my daughter. Might see if I can get some watch faces on their own from the jewellery section and make a few to pop in my Folksy and Etsy stores ... and my webby too!

Secondly is a new ACEO that I made today. I think it's pretty self explanitary on what I have done here but I'll tell you anyway. I've stamped onto mirriboard with Staz-on, then stamped a rose onto some arty farty paper and trimmed as close as I could so I left a border around it. Then I colour tinted it with my whisper pens, stuck it to the mirriboard and wrapped some string around it lengthways. Lastly I stamped L♥VE onto some shrink plastic and then stuck that down the top right hand side of the card and voila ... my Love Rose ACEO.

Right thats me for the night and it's Wednesday tomorrow and that means WOYWW and you get to see the aftermath of all my fun today lol

Cheesed off today

I made the mistake of weighing myself this morning, BIG mistake! Somehow, I've managed to put weight on this last week even though I've been watching what I eat. I'll be eating dinner off sideplates at this rate and drinking nothing but water.
Oh well I'm gonna have a day off from worrying about it today and get back on the horse tomorrow (even though at this moment I think I'm possibly riding a dead one) and I'm going to have a card making session in my craft room today. Not sure what I'll make yet but hey, I'm all up for spontanaity. Anyway hopefully I'll have some pics for you tomorrow or Monday of said card making session...oh and a crcoheted baby blanket that I just need to sew in some ends on.

Well I've not done this for a long time due to the fact I'm at work normally, but yay for the summer holidays and 6 weeks off!
Some things don't change though, my desk is still a mess....and a big mess at that. And this isn't all of it either!

You'll see 2 boxes that I'm playing with, my pig radio, my sewing machine that has actually been used more this week than in all the years that I've had it (about 8!), cones of wool, some scraps of fabric from the bits that I've been making with the sewing machine - see previous post for details - actually there's too much rubbish on my table even for me, so once I've got the house full of housework done, I might tidy this up a bit again and than try and fit in a bit of blogging. If only BT would sort our internet out so that we can both go online at the same time and take phones calls, I could get back into the swing of blogging and hopping once again...and thats something else I've got to do today, chase them up as a manager was supposed to be getting in contact over a month ago!

Ahhhh! Aint he cute!?

Bless - our big pup Bob is now wearing his new bandana that I made for him....and he's still not even tried to chew at it!!

I think I could have made it a lot better, but me being me, I had to rush in and not really think it through properly. All I did was draw our Union flag on a note pad in the right colours and then set the pinking shears to work. It does have the look I was sort of after, but I do wish now that I'd put better edges on it - maybe even tried ironing where I wanted it to fold first, but hey I had fun and thats what it's all about now isn't it.
After making Bobs bandana I was feeling a tad patriotic so I made this little ACEO (now remember these are essentially ATCs that are sold instead of traded) out of the same batch of material that I had for the bandana, although I did use the other blue material as I prefered it to the gingham.

And lastly but by no means least is this little thing. It's a little pouch for hubbys air gun pellets...so that he doesn't scare the birds with his stealth like approach going "chang, chang, rattle" as they would in the tins they come in. Now instead they just see him and torment him by flying away at the last minute hehehehehe.

Anyway, the main thing is it does work and I'm pleased with it, in fact I'm very pleased with all of these pieces and I think I'm going to toddle off and make something else.

Cuteness alert!!

One card and a super cute bag for you tonight. Unfortunately the bag is a no sell as the pattern is from a mag where the patterns are not for commercial use, but the card is!! This one here was for our best mates little boy who just turned 2 and unbeknowns to me, loves dinosaurs (his cake was a dino) but there are a whole bunch of others coming in different colours that are going to be available for order soon - as will this one if requested :-)

Anyway I hope you like them - and can I say a big thank you to the lovely Sarpreet who never fails to leave me a lovely comment. One day I will get around to visiting you guys again (the summer hols are nearly upon us so I will have 6 weeks of blogging and making - YAY!!!) so expect to see a little more of me then.

This is my latest mobile phone cover. I decided my new smart fone needed a little protection, and whats better than a cosy made by hand. This one is made from very pale yellow crochet cotton, it's more a pale lemon than it shows in the photo than pastel yellow.

Made by me (crocheted of course) and made from gorgeous merino wool, with me daughter modelling, is one of my latest creations. A beret to fit a child. I can also make these berets to fit adults too, but this shade of wool may not be available as it's all hand dyed in limited runs. So this is an original one off piece.

Lots of new bits

Morning guys, one day I will crack this working, making and blogging malarky, it might help if BT actually get me a half decent broadband connection! Anyway, I'm not here to moan, I'm here to show you some of the latest bits and pieces I've made so I'm going to let the pictures do the talking now.

The cards were made for my daughter and my brother and with the exception of the "Lady in Red" - as I don't have that CD yet - and can all be made again. The can/coffee cup cosies are one offs in these particular colours, but I'm sure I can find lots of other yummy colours to use if necessary.

Tatting - my first attempt

How do everyone and how are you all? Unfortunately I'm still not finding the time to blog and hop and make stuff due to working these days....one day I will crack it I promise!
Anyway, I just popped on here quickly to share with you all my first attempt at yet another new craft that I'm trying to master - TATTING!

Well it's definitely not perfect or pretty, but I'm happy with it for a first attempt, so a bit more practise (and a few Youtube videos watched) and eventually you will see things that I hope to start selling. I think I'll start small wth this one though instead of my usual approach - trying to run before I can walk that is lol!
Oh well take care and I think I'm going to go and have another go at this tatting malarky now.

Wedding stuff

Sorry I didnt get back here when I promised. Things aren't going so well for us at this end unfortunately, so I keep getting a little preoccupied with other stuff. But nevermind about that now, as I want to show and tell about my gorgeous cousins wedding day.

This is my beautiful cousin Jenny and her lovely fella Rafe outside the church and having their first dance together. I don't mind saying that I was in tears at this moment, so it's a good bet that my uncle Geoff was the same.

And these are the Order of Service that I was mean to you all about and wouldn't show you last week. I used one of my newer toys (the hot foil pen thingy) to do their names and when I get a chance there will be another new range appearing in my website and Folksy shops using this new gadget.

On another note I have finished jiggling around with my website http://yammascardsandcrafts.com and it is now good to go. I will be adding more photographs of items that I have made so that anyone can order them in their own choice of colours and material. I've not done it as "click and buy" purely to give everyone the choice of what they would like it made out of (cotton, acrylic, wool, cashmere, mohair etc etc) and the colour that they would like. That way it saves me time in a way, by not trying to do it in all mediums so that I have them ready to go. It may take me a little while to get the material in but so far everything that I have ordered, has taken no longer than a couple of days to get to me. In the mean time, I'm still working on new projects, some which will show themselves shortly and others that will be along a bit later. Yes I am teasing you I know, but I do have to try and keep you interested :-)
Anyway that's me done for tonight as I want to get on with some of the said "new projects". Have a lovely evening all and nighty night ♥

Blog candy shout out and a couple of new bits

Evening all. Sorry I've not been about much, I've been a little preoccupied with other things....mainly my beautiful cousins Order of Service for her wedding this coming Saturday. I'll pop photos of those up this time next week.
Anyway, as you can see by the title I have a blog candy shout out for Sarpreet, who is a very talented lady and I do hope those of you that see this will pop along, follow her her blog and help to spread the word;-

Now onto the couple of new bits. The first is a baby boy card that my MIL asked me to make for the arrival of her neighbours new baby the other day.

I used Crafters Companion Popcorn kids CD and stamps, I also finally got around to using my cuttlebug and nestabilities....how on earth did I manage without those little babies!

The next bit is another twisty scarf. This one is more suitable for a super stylish young girl as it's a bit shorter as I did it in a tighter tension than the pink one.

Over the next week, I'll be uploading items to my Folksy shop and getting my website back up and running so people can see the sort of things that I have made in the past and order them in their own choice of colours and materials....after all not everyone wants cotton or acrylic :-)

And I'm rather chuffed with it if I'm honest, and if I was a girly girl I'd be keeping it for myself instead of adding it to the stock for the stall on the 23rd.

Also here is a close up photo of an order for cream earrings all mounted on their card.

Going to crack on with some cards next, so I have a few to sell. I'm not going to go too mad though as I have no idea whether I'll even sell anything yet. If it doesnt go it'll all be uploaded to my Folksy store and my webby. That is the next project after this sale - get my webby in order. I know how I want it to look and how I want things to work, just getting the time to put my dastardley plan for world domination into place...mwahahahahahaha! Ooops! Did I say that out loud :-)

Well I bought myself some flowers yesterday when I bought the mums theirs, just so I didn't miss out. My eldest daughter has just facebooked me to say the card is in the post, but still no volunteers to make me breakfast or cook the dinner later :(
Anyway, last night I finished off the 2 mothers day card downloads I had chosen from CraftsUPrint. I will definitely be making these to sell next year along with some others too. Think I'm getting back into my groove now in all manner of crafting. Anyway enough waffling from me, onto the pictures.

This cascade one is awaiting validation on my CUP profile thingy and it's my first one on there, only thing is, it's a very difficult card to show off with just one picture as it's not all on one side. Hence there being a few of it here instead.
Next project is Fathers day cards and I've already made a start on those but you'll have to wait for a couple of days to see those as I have a full day of other stuff today sadly.
I hope all you mums have a lovely day out there and are spoilt a lot more than I'm going to be today, maybe one day someone will cook for me......

Just finished these off....

Well actually there are another two pairs of the variegated colour, but this is just a quick shot so my FB buddy can choose which colour she likes the best for her order. The proper pictures will be taken tomorrow when they are dry and on their display cards, which of course I will share with you all.

So, which do you prefer? Solid colour or the variegated. I like them both equally and think I'll make myself a pair in each colour (I've already nabbed myself a pink pair that I didnt show you all yesterday as I deemed them substandard)
Anyway, it's just a short one tonight as I think I'll now go downstairs and spend some time with my hubby...and maybe some knitting needles hehehehe

I'm back after a BAD week

And it was a very bad week I hasten to add. Last Sunday I was told I had pharyngitus and that all I could do was take my painkillers along with some soluble aspirin and that as long as I drank I'd be okay. Well baring in mind it was killing me to swallow in the first place I wasn't amused at this diagnosis. Then on Monday I heard that my Farf (my grandad) had died the previous Wednesday and that the funeral was to be on the Thursday. Well with this emotional pain, as well as the pain in my throat that would not go away and took my voice with it, I really did not feel like crafting at all. I did start and finish a chunky lacy scarf though saying that - picture to follow.
Anyway, after the trauma of Thursday, I suddenly felt that I needed and wanted to craft once again so I have made several pairs of crocheted earrings and finished off loads of brooches that needed finishing (well obviously lol). I also made some cards to display said earrings and brooches off.

Expect to see some cards soon as well as I've got a load printed off and ready to be made up. Anyway, I'm going back to work tomorrow even though I'm not 100% (I'm only about 60% if I'm honest), but I have to take the 2 purple brooches into work as they were orders from my work buddies.

Back to work...

for a rest! I ended up having a busy week in a completely different way to what I had planned. Although I did get some crafty bits made, it wasnt half as much as I wanted to get done, but the garden is looking a lot better now and once hubby has hung the gates, we can finally let the dogs out into the garden without them being on their leads or a guard (normally me!) so big yay!!! on that front.
I am that tired today though because I didnt sleep very well last night so I haven't been able to craft this evening as much as I tried, my eyes just will not focus and keep on watering. I can safely say I'm looking forward to bed :-)
Well as I didnt get any crafting done, I thought I should update a bit more of my website instead. It's slowly taking shape and if anyone see's anything that they like there, they can order it by using the contact tab. That way people can have things made in their own choice of colour, design, fabric (if it's a crocheted item) etc - I hope that makes sense as I'm feeling increasingly more dozy as the minutes tick by lol.

Yes, after much faffing around with my new toy the dremel and getting a table top vice/clampy thingy, I have come up with a new item that will eventually be for sale in my Folksy shop .... well when I figure out a price for it that is :-)

I've also got another crocheted hairgrip for you and a much better shot of my lacy scarf with my newest acquisition - the mannequin!

Look at me - I'm on a roll !!

Just as well I'm sitting down or I may just fall down, hehehe. Back again with TWO new makes! Well in truth, I've had the absolutely gigantic black flower made up for a while now but just needed the inspiration on what it should become and my eldest daughter provided me with just the ticket while she was over last weekend. All she did was hold it up to her head in such a way so that my little brain automatically thought "HEADBAND". So I popped over to Ebay and got a few, just a few as I need some feedback first on whether anyone would actually be interested in buying them and at what sort of price too.
Anyway as usual I digress. The other make is a gorgeous little variegated crocheted purple flower mounted on a hairgrip. Still to come are pink variegated, yellow, white, plain pink and black. Going to get at least one of the other colours made tonight/ tomorrow (I hadn't realised it was 10pm already lol), anyway I'll see how time goes and how far I get as I'm getting a lot quicker at these fiddly little so and so's :-)

I'll tell you what, I won't say much at all and I'll let the piccies do the talking....but one thing I will say is that my list is working!!!

If you don't know what I'm on about "a list", I decided to utilise one of my notepads to write down all the things that were going round in my head and therefore stopping me from actually making anything, because I didn't know what to do first. Well day one of my list and 3 cards later and a flower that I'd made turned into a gorgeous brooch.....what more could a girl want - well maybe a few more hours to get some more stuff made maybe :-)

I hope I find you all well. Just thought that I'd share this lacy scarf and cream flower with you all tonight.

I'm going to get myself a tailors dummy so that I can display these scarves and stoles off to their full potential as a crummy old coat hanger really doesn't do it for me:(

I also popped into town and bought myself a couple more teeny tiny little hooks and of course some more thread too :-)
Keep watching this space as I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment and this most beautiful purple yarn is just staring at me, begging to be made into something. Unfortunately my hubby keeps distracting me out in the garden, wanting me to help. Today I was glad to - he wanted me to man the fire! Yup, crafting, wanton distruction and fire - I love them all!!

New bits

Hi peeps. Got some new bits for you to look at.
I'm in a crafting frenzy at the mo as I've got my first crafty event coming up in April on the 23rd, which not only is Easter but St Georges day for us English bodies :-)
These are the same pattern/design but very different sizes. This black beast is a whopping 15cms and I'm not sure if I should put a barrette on it or a pin badge, or even a hairband......

Now these little matching hairclips are just 6 cms in size and I'm going to also do these in blue and lilac. Love to know what you think of these little babies and if you think they will sell as I don't want to make too many and have loads of them to try and get rid of after the event :-)

I'm also working on a lacy scarf - hopefully I'll have pics of that soon too.

EEEEEKKKKKKKKK!!!

I've just booked my first ever stall at a crafting event!!!!!! I have now got to pull my fingers out and craft like a mad woman ("no problem" I hear my husband shout from downstairs lol ) as I have until April 22nd to get some bits made and ready to go as it's on the 23rd (St Georges Day).
Hopefully it should be a lot easier to craft up here now as hubby just bought me some shelves, so I was assembling those last night, filling them all up and reorganising my stash. I can now lay my hands on most of my things now.

I do have a little more tidying up to do as you can see, but most of the stuff that needs putting away is hiding behind the door on top of my filing cabinet.
Hmmmm.............some corner shelves wouldn't go amiss near the window....... :-)
Anyway, this is happening in Thetford in the Guildhall if you happen to be in the area on the 23rd. I'd love to meet you if you are, so don't be shy coz I really don't bite.

The wedding invites have finally gone.......

and I am a little sad to see them go if I'm honest. I knew I was going to enjoy making them as they were for my beautiful cousins wedding in May this year, but I really did enjoy making batch cards - something I've not really done before as I've nearly always done one offs, you know - unique jobbys. I'm now thinking that I'd like to do more wedding stationery....but I'll show you the picture of Jenny and Rafes invites and let you help me in my decision if you would

Just in case you can't tell from these appaling pictures, the card stock is pearlescent pale blue and the ribbon and embossing powder that I've used are both silver :-) So please let me know what you think honestly and whether I should add it to my items that I will make to order.

First day at work

Evening all.
Nothing crafty from me today as I've been doing my new job at the school. I was asked on Friday afternoon by the headmaster if I would like to look after one of the little boys in class 1 until the end of the school year, as some funding has just come through for him to get some more help to get him up to speed as he has various problems. He is such a sweet little chap I had no hesitation in saying "Yes I'll do it", so I started doing that today as well as my dinnerlady job, so I've been at the school all day today with all those kids....and I've actually enjoyed myself barrels.
Anyway I just wanted to pop in and keep the blog going as I'm not having many visitors due to me not being on hardly at all while James was off with his shoulder. I'll have something for you all to look at sometime this week I reckon so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Blue baby blanket and an update .....

Evening all. Hopefully this is the start of me being back in blogland more often once again.
Well, lets do the update first. Hubby has managed his first week back at work for 3 months with no incident. He's definitely known he's been at work though hehehehe, he's been aching like no-ones business and very tired to boot, but it's been lovely and quiet here though ☺.
Now then onto my baby blanket. This little creation has just been uploaded to my Folksy shop at the price of £20 + P&P and is made from 100% acrylic yarn so it's lovely and snuggly and warm for little ones.

Also I'm hoping to be doing some ACEOs soon to sell in my Folksy shop (for those of you that don't know an ACEO is an ATC that is sold as opposed to swopped and stands for Art Card, Editions and Originals)
Anyway, I hope you like my blanket and I'll see you all again soon.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Yes I am a bit late, but it is my first posting of the year!! Anyway, first things first, update on hubby. He is now back at work as of yesterday so I had a very productive day of.......housework. Saying that though I've had hardly anything to do this morning so it's not that bad now is it.
I did get one bit of crafting done yesterday though, albeit only sewing up the two pieces of ribbon crochet to the cotton crochet to make this lovely assemetric stole (assemetric because the ribbon ends have a different amount of rows).

I think I'm going to give it a wash and try to block it so that it doesn't have the wibbly edges, but once draped over your shoulders, I doubt that it'll notice to be honest. Not sure of a price for it yet hence the reason it's not in my Folksy shop yet. I'm redoing my website so I doubt it will go in there for a while, if at all.

I'm also working on a blue baby blanket, n between doing my cousins invites for her wedding. I'm over half way through them now, so she'll have them by the end of this month and I'll show you pics when she has them all sent out.
Well I' think that's it form me at the moment, but I'll be back soon.

Update on James

Well, we're back from the hospital and he's been signed off for another 6 weeks but he has to have an MRI scan before his next hospital appointment (oh goody goody) as they're unsure as to why his shoulder isn't getting better yet. So he has to have this scan to see if it is healing in the wrong position and if it is he'll have to have it re-dislocated and put back in again or have it pinned, so either way it will be an op of some kind and then more time off for it to heal.
So, no real answers until the MRI scan results, but we do know it'll be quite a few more weeks of him being bored at home.
Thanks for all your well wishes peeps and I'll update you again when we know anything. Oh and when I've finished my cousins wedding stationery I'll put up some piccies of them too.

Humph!!!

I think the title really says everything. Well since hubby dislocated his shoulder the day before my birthday, things haven't really got any better. Sure, he can now get dressed and get in and out of the bath without help, but that is as far as it goes. He's still in an awful lot of pain and I am technically stronger than he is now, so I'm still doing all the heavy stuff but that isn't doing my knees any favours.
I've just had an x-ray on the right knee as that's the worst one, painkillers are helping me manage the pain day to day, so that's good even though they are still hurting. Just got to wait for the doctors to let me know when the results are in and if there is anything obvious.
I've also shut down my online stores for the moment, as I haven't got any time to do anything if anyone did want anything. Yes I could manage small things, but I have my cousins wedding stationery to do first, so I'm just going to disappear until the New Year and see how things go.
On Monday hubby has an appointment at the hospital, so I think quite a few questions will be asked, so if I get a chance I'll post an update if any of his questions get answered.
Oh well, enough moaning for now I think. Take care in this weather peeps and with any luck I'll be back soon.

Hello everybody....it's me!

I have just realised that I haven't been here for just over a month!! Well we are all moved into the new house, well it's an old house really but new to us if you get what I mean. I have a lovely craft room and here's some piccies for you so you can have a bit of a nose around.

I took these photos a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately I've not really had a chance to get it all lovely and messy yet as hubby had an accident at work 2 weeks ago and dislocated his shoulder quite badly and I'm being nursemaid as well as doing everything else that a housewife and mum has to do.
I have just received some lovely shiny new crochet hooks which I bought from ebay and I'm going to test one of them out in a little while, as I am getting a bit of time to do my buddys order of a black cardi, which is the same as the white one I made for the lovely Clare AKA Thread-bare.
With any luck I'll start getting back into my usual routine soon as hubbys arm is now permitting him to play on the X box (which he was recommended to do, so I dont mind at all - he's out of my way and not dinging his bell for a fag or a drink every 5 minutes hehehe) and I'll have some pics of bits I'm making or have made to share with you once again.

Sorry I'm not about much.....

It's another damp wet morning here in East Anglia. I'm moving all the stuff I got packed up yesterday this morning and then I'll be getting another load ready to take after work. It's a lot of work at the minute and not much play time but having my own little room for all my stuff and the fact that I can make as much mess as I can handle is going to be more than worth it. Can you imagine the WOYWW pics then hehehehe?!
I keep leaving my wooly stuff here in the hope that I'll get something done in the evening, but so far I've been pooped after doing dinner during the week. Although saying that, I did get some little fingerless gloves made at the weekend to help keep my hands warm while crafting /crocheting.

If I make another pair for myself I'm going to tweek the pattern as the picot edge on the finger ends is soooooo annoying as it keeps folding over but hey ho, you live and learn.
Okay, well as I'm not getting much else done crafty wise and from the looks of it, aren't likely to, I'll keep you posted as to what I'm doing with the move each day....if I remember that is lol.

WOYWW 15th September

Holy cow batman - is it really that long since I've managed to squeeze in WOYWW?!! Crumbs, really I hadnt realised it had been that long since I was snooping round peeps desks and letting you do the same.
Well in my defence a lot has been going on. I've been crocheting like a mad person - ok like the mad person I am - as my good buddy Clare wanted me to make this cardi for her from a pattern in the Womans weekly. That is now complete even though I did have a wobble right at the very end as I doubted my ability to be able to sew it up! But after putting pics up of the completed cardi, another friend said that she wanted one in black so a great big bonus and a large smile on my face.

You can most probably see the latest order that I'm working on (another pink baby blanket), a beanie style hat that I made yesterday,

general mess from making hubbys cards the other day (I just can't do tidy whatever I do) oh and the last shot is of my wool tub plus several bags of wool/yarn. I've also got some more in the spare bedroom that I found in the loft from when I bought my (sadly neglected) knitting machine.
Also, last week, I started my new job of "Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant" otherwise known to you and me as a dinnerlady. So my day is well and truly broken up now, and to add to the changes, we are moving next month too so I may go a bit quiet again.
Anyway, I'm here this week and will do my best to get around to some of you but alas I dont seem to have as much time with the work thing going on but I'll try.

Hi all, trying to post this via my Flickr account so it may look a little weird lol :)
Anyway this is Clare's cardi finally finished in all it's glory. I am so pleased with it, and I think Clare is too.
It's made in 4ply cotton and the pattern was in the Womans Weekly mag on the 17th August and baring in mind I had literally only just started then, i don't think I've done too bad.
I've also learnt to have more belief in my abilities after this as I didn't think I was gonna be able to sew it up at one point.
Anyway, I hope you like it and this posts ok.

I've been getting a little carried away with my new hobby of crochet and neglecting my little old blog, so i thought I'd better pop in and show you the baby blanket that I've just completed.

This is a custom order for a friend on Facebook and it's finished size is approximately 36 x 37 inches. It's been done in an iris stitch for those of you that do crochet. I'm also making a cardi for my mate Clare. You can see the WIP pics on my Facebook page for that, but for those of you that don't do Facebook, I will put a pic up when I have completed it.

I'm just waiting on my eldest daughter to decide which one she wants and then the remaining 3 will be added to my stores for sale.

In case any one is wondering, I do take orders, so if you wanted a specific colour, it's no problem. Just give me a bell (more likely to be an email hehehe) and tell me what you want and I get straight onto my good friend ebay if I don't already have the colour you want.

Evening all. Just another quicky. Just finished this corsage and I'd love some honest feedback for it.

Would you buy one? and how much for? I would make them in colours to order so I wouldn't have a stock of them unless you thought I could get away with doing a batch in a certain colour - say red for example. The basic crochet was really easy and didn't take long, it was the crocheting of the long petal strip into the finished rose shape....although I was getting the hang of it by the third attempt at the end (hehehehe yes it took me several attempts to get it right)
I've made this one in cotton DK, but I do think it looks better in the mohair on the pattern instructions, so I think future makes would be made in that instead.

before I disappear to go and cook dinner. This little beauty (well it's not so little at approximately 5 inches by 14) is my first attempt at filet crochet and I think I can safely say I have got the hang of it now after several mistakes and restarts. Now on the instructions, it says this is a bookmark....now at this size it's for a VERY BIG book. I think I'll mount it somehow and have it as a decoration.

I have been a busy little bee the last few days. Not only have I been making things (piccy in a bit), but I have also set up my shop both on Facebook and now on Folksy. Some of you may remember I tried Folksy when I was doing just cards, but got annoyed as nothing sold. Well things seem to have changed over there now, loads of peeps I know are now selling there too, so with my new love of crochet, I'm hoping to finally get out there. Well baring in mind how long I've been making cards, and no-one has really bought from me (unless you count my M and FIL), I start making these mobile phone covers, and my hand gets snapped off!!!

Wow another week gone already. Time flies when you've got new toys hehehe. Anyway nothing has really changed on my table, everything is still pretty much as it was as my card making mojo appears to have gone on holiday (2 weeks ahead of me I hasten to add!!) and no sign of it coming back as of yet. So instead I have pushed everything out of the way so I can fit my new toy in there instead for the time being. Yes it's a little notepad with a disc drive and external hard drive....so that is where I sit and yap to my hearts content now without my hubby bugging me for the computer so he can play his games. BLISS!

So my workspace isn't really the table at the moment, it's my newly aquired tub for all my yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, sewing needles (big fat ones for sewing wooly stuff), books and patterns and the stuff that I've already made in a separate little bag. I think after my holiday, I'll have to buy another tub to put my makes in. As you can see, I started to make something else late last night, hopefully I'll have that finished today, but until it is, you'll have to wait to find out what it is for.

I won't be here next week as I'll be in Devon camping, so no Facebook, blog or just yapping for me for a whole week. I think I'll just about cope as I've been promised a trip to Hobbycraft, which is fairly exciting for me as I haven't been to one before....who knows what new hobby I'll come out with hehehehe.

Still no card mojo but I finally got this mobile cover finished. I had trouble with the fluffy wool so I had to knit this one instead of crocheting like my other ones.

Black white and one other over at OSAAT

Good morning peeps. I unfortunately don't have anything to share with you this Sunday as my mojo for cards has sadly gone AWOL, so I have had to make 2 of the hardest decisions of my crafting life. 1 was to step down from Stampin with the Dragon as a DT member and 2 was to leave my beloved OSAAT.
I have been struggling with the card making for a few weeks now but always manged to pull it off, but these last couple of weeks were different. I've got the paper printed, the images printed.......and nothing!!! My mojo refused to show, even to colour!
I know it will come back, I just don't know when and, well I'm not much of a DT co-ordinator if I can't even create an ATC now am I? Now I would like to take this oppurtunity to wish Tammy all the best as she is stepping into my shoes over at OSAAT as co-ordinator of team A, and that OSAAT continues to rise in popularity with Liz and Tammy at the helm of both teams. I will join in as a challenger when the mojo returns - so you don't get rid of me that easily hehehehe.

WOYWW 21st July

Ho hum another week done and I didnt get around to clearing off my table. I did make a pile slightly bigger as I wanted to make a couple of boxes yesterday, so what was on my xcut board is now in a pile and my board is covered again, this time with my CC ultimate (you know the one - first one that isn't as good as the new one hehe). Anyway I've given you some different shots this week and shown you inside my "Made" bag and my bag that has all my yarn in that I have aquired in these past few week. Desperately need a box for that stuff, as my dog Bob thinks that he is a cat and insists on playing with anything that resembles a ball of string.

I have covered the chicken tub though and that is now working as my table top bin and I also have these boxed coasters that I have made this week too.

I doubt if I'll get around to any of you today as hubby is having a half day holiday and will be home by lunchtime so I'll be losing the computer again so he can play at being a farmer (the job he's just come home from early - makes sense eh?!).I'll get round to at least some of you by tomorrow though so happy snooping and why don't you join in the fun over at WOYWW and show us where you craft your gorgeousnesses.

WOYWW 14th July and my clever little girl

Oh dear my table is really cluttered this week. I need to move everything before I can make any cards. My blue bag has turned into a white one (the blue one had loads of holes in courtesy of my dog Bob who thinks he is a cat and insists on playing with my wooly stuff). You can see all the mobile phone covers I have made to date - and I'm a very happy girl there this morning as I have had my first sale with my store with one of those..thanks hun you know who you are xx! Erm what else is there - oh yeah the chicken tub. I thought that would make an excellent table top bin instead of my bag that lives on the floor, (something else Bob likes to play with) so I need to sort that out at sometime. There is also some afghan/granny squares that I did yesterday for something else yet to be finished, maybe later today....and then there is everything else that is always on my table, getting shoved forever backwards and upwards.

Hmmm, I think I definitely need to clear some space, but don't expect to see it next week though, I'm sure I'll have made some more mess by then hehehehe.

One final thing. My little girl got an award this week in honour of the Reverend Hanniwells late wife Sara, who very sadly passed away early this year for the most improved in cooking. Here is a picture of her with her trophy and her cookbook prize.

I am very proud of her as she finds so many things difficult at school without an awful lot of help from the TAs. She's now insisting on making her dad an omlette this weekend...uh oh lol.

Good morning you lovely bloggers, the sun is shining and I have a little breeze coming through the window as I get this ready to go live (it's Saturday morning as I write this). Is it hot enough for you all! Blimey, I like the heat but it's such a heavy heat in this country, not like when you go abroad for your hols. Hey ho it's yet another excuse to stay indoors - makes a change from saying "I have to stay in because it's raining cats and dogs outside". Anyway, my slightly odd title is all about this weeks challenge over at OSAAT, which is "Military". Yep it's a bit of a doozy, but I think we all pulled it off. Basically, as long as you give your project a bit of an armed forces feel, whether that be by paper or by your choice of images then it's good to go. Now it doesn't matter what occassion you make it for so just go for it.
Here is my card for your inspiration this week. I've used Stitchys "Letters Home" digi which is available from the Stitchy Bear Stamps store.

I've made some flowers with help from a template and the paper is from Patternhead http://www.patternhead.com/ and he has quite a few freebies available to download - well worth a look.
Hope you like my card for this weeks challenge, and remember, it's Lizzy B up again next week - ah another week off...I could get used to this heheheehe.

Hello and welcome to Ready, Steady, Craft. Hahahaha can you tell the sun's back out over my way at the moment - yes I have gone slightly lala once again. It's challenge time once again over at Stampin with the Dragon and (now my silliness is exposed) it's a recipe challenge. We'd like you to use 3 buttons and a transparency on your project this fortnight.
We are sponsored by Sue of Beary Dust Stamps this time around and I used "Angel Bear" and made the cutest New Baby Boy card. Obviously this could easily be done for a girl too and in my mind it could also be used for those sadder times when someone you know has lost their little angel.
Anyway, onto my card.

I'm back....

with the cards that were splattered on my table in my earlier WOYWW post, so without further ado here is the card I made for my hubby. This is a download from CUP (CraftsUPrint in case you didn't know - I know what my staich is like for some of these initialed thingys lol x) designed by Julie Green. Now this is meant to be for a little lads birthday but it just looks so much like my James that I couldn't resist (his bike looks like that too but with lots of added mud hehehe). Oh almost forgot, for the background I inked up with my versamark pad, one of my free stamps that I had lying around in my drawer and just stamped randomly here there and everywhere.

This is the other card. The image is by my buddy Stitchy of Stitchy Stamps (which you can buy from the
Stitchy Bear Stamps store) called "Naptime", the little text with scroll is from Lindsays Stamp Stuff and the paper is from a place I found only yesterday, http://www.patternhead.com/ loads of free repeat patterns there for you to nab. Anyway this card has been made for hubbys boss. His better half had their first baby just the other day - I was told her name was Piglet (lol they are pig farmers hehehe) as they couldn't think of anything at the time, I do believe they have changed that to a more regular name now but James had forgotten what it was by the time he came home last night.

Anyway I hope you like these two little offerings for today, I'm now off to finish my DT card for OSAAT before the idea that is in my head dissappears.

Two reasons why today is very special - 1. it's WOYWW over at Julias blog The Stamping Ground and 2. it's my 4th wedding anniversary today. Anyway no time for mushy stuff ladies (and gents if there are any looking) here is my creativity station this week.

Someone asked about the coke label and was wondering what I was going to do with that - sorry hun it's really boring...it's only a pencil case stashed full of yet more pens. Oh and someone else said about the small tube that was sitting to my left (I think lol), thats really boring too - it's a tube I inherited from my nan with some crochet hooks in. I may make it look pretty with a crocheted cover for it yet but we'll see if I get the time hehehe.
I have to finish off the card that you see on my table and make an envelope for it and another one for hubbys card which you can also see sitting there. My paper and image are there for this weeks coming challenge over at OSAAT (I want to get that done too). Anyway enough jabbering for now - I'm going to get these cards done and then I'll be back with those 2 that you see later on when I've done fannying around with them. Then I might get time to visit a few of you later on.

I know as crafters, we do tend to recycle an awful lot of stuff (my hubby looks at me very strangely when I clean off the foil lid from a tub of marg or butter although he is getting used to it now hehehehehe) but this looks to have loads of ideas and I'm thinking already "now why didnt I think of that?"
Ok thats it for me today - didnt get any crafting done yesterday (thats a lie really ... I taught myself how to make an afghan square last night while watching the footy) and I don't think I'll get much done today as 1 I've got to go into town in a bit and 2 I'm helping out at weedyfaces school fete on the "Slat the Rat" stall yayyyyy, and tomorrow I'm being dragged out for what looks like the day (rain rain come back again lol for one day only though).

Prototype Mobile bag

This isn't going to go into my store but further makes may do hence it being called a prototype. I'm just playing with some old yarn that I've got lying around, a nice thin yarn would look better I think and in white or cream.

Obviously it's not a fellas thing - I shew it to my hubby when I'd finished playing last night and he looked like he wanted to burst into fits or laughter, so I said to him "Go on then laugh and say it's s**t then" and all he said was, "well I wouldn't want one". Well baring in mind I never thought in the first place that a fella would want one, I just wanted to give him a slap. Anyway I'll most probably play a bit more on this idea and then I'll show you what I come up with.

Oh and one final picture - of the lovely little model, bless her, my little weedyface and I couldn't resist putting my copyright mark on her although she was made a little bit before 2010 (try 2000) and, no she isn't chewing on a wasp, she didn't like the fact I got her piccy hehehehe mean aint I?

Independence day - with a twist......

Janette from Stamping Dragon Designs gave all on her DT this lovely little dragon holding the American flag called "Independence Day". Now me being me and being very English and therefore not very American, had to put a twist on it didn't I.

It's not apparent from the outside what the twist is, only the inside text gives it away......

Yep I made it into a "congratulations on your divorce" card. I'm really chuffed with myself for thinking of that as my brain has been in melt down lately and on strike. Making cards was a chore! Feeling a lot more relaxed in the last few days. Now I just have to catch up with stuff.
I coloured this image with pencils as sometimes I don't think I can pull it off with the promarkers (need the brights lol )and I think it turned out ok.
Anyway, I have loads more images coloured, so I'm hoping to get those made today but knowing my luck I'll get distracted or have to do something else like the dreaded housework.

OMG I just realised it's the end of the month!!!! Holy smokes batman - where is the year going? Anyway I'm getting back on track these days (I keep getting myself overtired and then I keep thinking the world is out to get me, so I've decided I will stay in bed till the very last minute until things are going smoothly everywhere again) but that is a different story and I am ok, can't say I'm fit and healthy though but I am ok lol. Anyway I haven't been to WOYWW for a few weeks while trying to get my head round things and as I am feeling in a blogging mood again, I thought I'd join in and show off my mess once again.

I dread to think what you guys will spy on the table of terrors but I hope you have fun looking around. I'll get round a few of you I can be sure of that - how many I don't know (depends on whether I feel like an early morning one day lol) oh and if hubby lets me have the lappy or if he goes out for the evening to his mates. Anyway I will try and get around to a good few of you - if I could type faster I'd get round to an awful lot more of you.

Tandem Birthday card commission

My MIL asked me to make this card (bless her she's basically my only customer along with my FIL) for her very good friend who has had a tough time of it recently. My MIL has known her since they were 11 and as they are now both just over 60 (I'm far too polite to reveal their age...now if they were my mates it would be a different matter), they have known each other for some time and she wanted this reflected in the card. Apparently her friend used to do a lot of cycling and somehow a tandem bicycle came into their conversation, so my MIL thought it would be a good subject for the card. Now I thought this was a bit wacky - until I looked for pics on google. OMG!!! there are wedding invites and all sorts out there....I missed a trick there you know.

Stars and Stripes over at OSAAT

It's that time of the week again - the days just seem to dissappear so quickly at the moment. Anyway, it's challenge time over at OSAAT yet again and this week we have a few newbies to introduce to you. I'm now thinking of resigning as these new girls have SOOOOOO much talent (not really stitch stop having a panic attach lol ). Anyway our challenge is for you to use stars and/or stripes on your project.
I got to work with these fab papers from Toucans Scraps. This pack is called Black and White Spots and Stripes. As you can see I have only used the stripey paper from the pack.

First attempts at crocheted flowers

Dunno what's wrong with me lately - but I've been here at my blog for more days in a row than I have for ages and I'm doing other stuff other than just cards!!!
Anyway these are my first attempts at crocheting flowers so those of you that are old hands at it please let me know what you think of my attempts. I personally think I'm getting there. The holes are the bit that are worrying me as it doesn't look that holey in the pictures in the mag, but that could be the yarn I'm using and the fact that I was trying to leave it as loose as I dared so I knew that I could get my hook back through.
Anyway I'd love some feedback on these please.

STWD new challenge

STWD stands for Stampin with the Dragon - I have a thing for shortening things at the minute ... I think it's just that I like to keep people guessing what I am on about hehehe. Anyway another fab challenge this fortnight for you all. We'd love to see your lovey dovey easel cards. Now mine I've gone off to the side on this. Mine is lovey dovey, but it was made for my daughter, Stephanie, who just turned 17 on the 19th June so a different kind of love. I don't see my eldest 2 girls very often these days as they live with their dad now, so it was a bit of a sad day for me but I am also very proud of her as she is now doing a hairdressing apprenticeship in a local hairdressers near where she lives. So whenever you like Steph, you can do(practise lol)on your "old" mums hair as long as you don't give me a pink rinse!!!
Anyway enough jabbering and here is my card for my big baby girl.

I finally finished it!!!

My hubbys Dr Who scarf that is! I had put it away for ages and forgotten about it, but when I was feeling a little wobbly the other week I dug it back out of the cupboard and I've been on a mission to finish it ever since. I finally ran out of wool/yarn for it so it was done. It's a double rib all the way along it's 6ft length, so it's taken me some time to do with chopping and changing the yarn from side to side (next scarf I do is that fluffy stuff so I can stay in "knit" mode all the way down).
Hopefully it'll keep his little neck warm during the winter on the farm and I hope the pigs don't take a liking to it and try nabbing it for themselves hehehehe.

Okay well I must dash as I have to get my DT make done for this weekend - papers are printed but that is as far as I got what with the football and the scarf.

New releases over at Stitchy Bear

Good morning one and all. I'm not actually here this morning, I'm at a car boot sale at my local school so I'm actually doing this on Saturday morning - but anyway I digress (nothing unusual there I hear you all cry). Anyway the girls at Stitchy Bear Stamps have all made some fantabulous new releases for us all to play with which are now available. I had my good buddy Janette of Stamping Dragon Designs and her new release is called "Purrfect Love".
It screamed out to me a cat lovers wedding day - not much good if they don't both like cats really hehehe, but this is what I made.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added a touch of one of my sakura pens on the moon to make it just a little shimmery and on the love heart I added glitter and the put Anitas 3D Gloss over the top. Paper is from a DCWV wedding stack if I remember rightly and the sentiment stamp is from the Docrafts Forever Friends Wedding set.
Might be be back with an update on how the car boot went - if hubby lets me have the lappy that is!

Sketch challenge over at Stampin with the Dragon

We have a lovely sketch for you to all work with this week over a Stampin with the Dragon .

Anyway, as you can see the sketch is all scallopy and round and could I find a pair of scalloped scissors....NOPE!! So I squared it up but you can still see the sketch in the background. All I changed was the scalloped circle, oh and scooted it over to the side so I could put a sentiment of sorts down the right hand side.

I used "Roxi" from the lovely Lexi of Lexis Creations .
Oh well I hope this has given you a little inspiration for this fortnights challenge - if not, just pretend you never see it lol!
Okay must get ready now as I'm still sitting here in my pjs and my cup of tea has got cold so I need another one. Don't forget I'll be back later with yet more stuff... Mattys PIG Day and a New home

Just a couple of cards that I've been meaning to post for about a week! Mattys PIG day is a play on words - one he was 21 and two he's a pig stockman same as my hubby. I used a teplate from Anna Marie Designs and the background of a sow arc, I drew myself with my charcoal chalky pastel thingys.

I made a few of these New Home cards - they use a freebie digi from Shirleys 2 Girls. The paper is from one of my stash of free CDs.

I had one of those days yesterday - you know the ones....where you really don't have the energy even to be awake, let alone do anything. Well anyway I was like that yesterday and completely forgot about scheduling my blog post for this morning for the challenge over at Stampin with the Dragon so huge apologies girls for being so late!

Sorry I haven't been around for a little while but things always seem to get in the way hehehe. Anyway hopefully I've resolved the issue of piccies that wont come up bigger (fingers crossed anyway) so you guys can snoop better and you will also be able to see my new toy now. And no it's not a cricut lol!! Unfortunately I've not had much time to play with it because the lappy I installed the software on is taking forever to do anything so I definitely think that it's terminal for the old Toshiba.
Anyway here are the latest piccies of the mess on my desk.

I have loads of things buried on there somewhere that have been started and need to be finished today so I best get on and find them so I can get them done.

Furry and feathery friends - we love them at OSAAT

That's our challenge this week over at OSAAT and I got to work with the extremely talented, (as they all are at Stitchy Bear Stamps ) Claire AKA Hope Jacare. The digi I used is called "Scatty cat" and you can get it for HALF PRICE for the rest of this week as the sale is still on until the end of the month.
Anyway enough babbling, here is my card.

this week at OSAAT is to make "Anything BUT a card". We also have a fabulous sponsor this week who you nearly all know - GLITTERBABE. For my little creation this week I used "King Kat" and made a milk carton out of e-flute card (very thin corrugated card)...I dont think you can buy this card but as I used to work in a printing and packaging firm, my boss used to ask me if I could make any use of the off cuts....of course I said yes and this is the first time I have got to use any of my stash.

I found a tute for these milk cartons on SCS, but me being me I had to tweek it just a bit and when you know the basics you dont really need to follow the measurements. It is really simple to do and I'm trying to think of other things I can use it for now.
Anyway I hope you'll join in with our fun challenge this week.

Going dotty over at OSAAT

Hello everyone and yes it's Sunday again and over at OSAAT we are going DOTTY this week - polka dots spots whatever you feel. I've used the lovely Lexis "Auri" (I do hope I've spelt that right or she won't speak to me again lmao) and I've coloured her with my promarkers. I love these pens you know, I really do. I loved my copics but these are so much more "Sam" friendly as I'm on the little heavy handed side occassionally and the bendy brush tip of the copics was my bug bear on more than one occasion hehehe.
For my inspiration this week (as I'm lacking it a bit at the moment) I used sketch # 61 from card patterns blog
http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2010/04/sketch-61.html . This is an old one from a couple of weeks ago but it fitted my Auri perfectly as I already had her cut out in a circle.

I'm having a little break as head DT over at OSAAT for a while as I need to get a few personal things sorted out this end. I'll still be about and for now I'm leaving you in the capable (but overflowing) hands of Stitchy so I hope you'll join in with our challenges as you have been and lend her and the rest of the team your support.

Finally....I figured out what to do

The title is a little odd I know, but when you know the reason behind it, it will all make sense. If you saw my post from earlier today, you will know that my MIL had requested that one. Well my FIL asked for one as well for their brother in laws birthday. Well as I don't know him very well, I really didn't have the foggiest what to do for him. Well after taking my dogs for a walk to try and clear the headache that was brewing in my head, I had a lightbulb moment. Since he has been over here from Somerset, he has commandered my FILs reclining armchair. After searching the net for a free armchair template and not finding anything, I set to work on making my own and here is the finished project.

I'm quite pleased with the finished result and I'd love to know what you guys think.
Oh one more thing. I caught one of the kittens quite literally having a cat nap this afternoon.

Okay, I'm done for the day and I think I have had quite a productive day for a change.

Baby Ellie

I love it when a plan comes together and it has for this card. I have 2 challenges to enter it into and as I haven't got round to doing any lately so I'm chuffed to bits. It also goes towards my make as a DT member for Stamping Dragon and the digi and paper itself has been printed out for best part of a week (possibly nearer two weeks to be honest) and finally, my MIL asked me to make a card to welcome the newest member of the May family to this world.
So without further ado, here is my card.

I've taken the sketch from Sketch Saturday and moved the big circle over to the side a little so I could get the new babies name,date of birth and weight in on the front of the card as well. So I'm entering this there and I'm also entering it into Lexis challenge which is "Animals". For the inside, I've nicked an idea from my good buddy Clare AKA Threadbare and put another little ellie on the inside. It finishes it off I think.

WOYWW 5th May

Blimey, where is the time going people. Another month over and another week at WOYWW AKA The Stamping Ground. I've had a bit of a change around since my last visit to WOYWW as I now have a new toy - of course it's buried already so I'm gonna let you be nosey to your hearts content and see if you can spy it.

The card you can see will be in my next post and it gets 2 birds with one stone and a couple of challenges too. Once I've posted that, then I have to start on another card requested by my FIL for his brother in law. Problem is I don't really know anything about him so I could get lost in my stash trying to find something suitable. Hopefully I'll have more time to get around some of the other ~~mad~~ lovely ladies that take part as I always seem to run out, but we have had a very busy couple of weeks at OSAAT and it took me all week just to do the comments on there.
